Development: Development is defined as the maturation of function and acquisition of a variety of skills for functioning optimally in society.

• Assessment of growth:

1. Nutrition anthropometry.
2. Assessment of tissue growth.
3. Bone age.
4. Dental Age.

1. Nutrition anthropometry:

• Length: Until the age of 2 years, length is measured in centimeters using an infant metal-   Average Length: At Birth-50cm, At 3 months- 60 cm, At 1 year- 75 cm, At 2 years-85 cm.
• Hight: (2 to 12 yrs) =Age(yer)*6+77cm
•  Head Circumference: Average head circumference: At Birth-35cm, At 3 months- 40 cm, At 1 year- 45 cm, At 2 years-48 cm.
